Modern Equipment Co., Inc. and Støtek, Inc. have formed a strategic alliance to jointly market their products in North America.  Pat Brown, President of Støtek, Inc., will head the foundry sales and marketing for both companies.  The product offerings are quite complementary and enable the combined companies to offer one of the broadest furnace ranges for the aluminum casting industry.

 According to Wade Roberts, Chief Operating Officer of Modern, “This combination will benefit Modern and Støtek by expanding the joint product offering and leverage Modern’s nation leading melt furnace position into other product categories.”

Pat Brown, President of Støtek, Inc., stated, “This partnership positions the companies to offer the broadest line of aluminum melting, holding and dosing furnaces in the industry.”  He added, “It also opens the way for us to begin manufacturing Støtek product in the United States.”

Modern Equipment Company based in Port Washington, WI, is a subsidiary of ALCO Industries.  The company has been in business over 90 years and manufactures Jet Melters, ladles, cupolas, inert gas generators, custom pressure vessels, and provides subcontract fabrication and machining services.

Støtek, Inc., based in Pewaukee, WI, is the U.S. joint venture of Støtek Danmark ApS, a Danish manufacturer, with a particular emphasis on dosing, holding and crucible furnaces.
